Location Cedar City, UT

Overview The Cedar City Field Office has two Range Technician positions for the summer field season. The focus will be primarily on the collection of vegetative monitoring data during the summer season.

Responsibilities The technicians will assist the Field Office in collecting the following vegetation data:

  • Nested Frequency
  • Line Intercept
  • Point Intercept
  • Gap Intercept
  • Line Point Intercept
  • Key Forage Plant Utilization
  • Proper Functioning Condition

Qualifications:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in an outdoor setting
  • Experience driving a 4x4 vehicle in rugged terrain
  • Proficiently in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Preference will be given to individuals who are pursuing a degree in fields related to Range, Natural
  • Resources, Agriculture, or Wildlife Biology
